You've heard it a million times already, but here's one more reminder for the road -- The world is in our hands. It is in all of our hands. Take care of it. Do your part. Plant a tree. Recycle. Put up bluebird houses, or bat houses. Compost. Carry a sack to the grocery store . . . or?
What are you doing for Earth Day?
I started with writing a special Earth Day blog myself. Then, Scott and I planted a few more flowers, cleaned up some trash on the daily hike route, and sat in the sunshine appreciating the beauty of where we live. We thought about going to a park, but decided it is so pretty where we live, we'd spare the atmosphere the emissions our car would spit out driving to our park. It was a lovely Earth Day. You, Debra? What did you do?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in-action tribute, Smoky! We sat on our Adirondock chairs, sipping tea, breathing a little spring air (before going back inside and working madly on end-of-the-semester paper piles). :)
